We meet at your home or on location with an excited hello. I like to arrive a little earlier that our session time and I will help with the kids and keep everyone feeling excited and happy whilst you get ready, then the fun begins!
We then make our way to our chosen spot, having a chat and getting to know everyone a little better and slowly everyone starts to relax.
What does a family session look like?
The session will begin with all of you as family unit together, I will give you some gentle direction, something that feels comfortable for you all to engage with each other in the most authentic way. There will be no awkward poses or smiles, that’s not my style and I know it’s not yours either.
I’ll step back for a while to capture your genuine connections as they unfold. If something isn’t quite working, I'll give a prompt to get us back on track.
What does a family session look like?
Then I will get a little closer and take some more intimate shots of your beautiful family - it’s these images that really capture the way your connection feels.
We will continue on playing some games, exploring, having some snacks and lots of cuddles whilst watching the sun go down.

Your only job is to soak in this uninterrupted time with your babies. Take the time to play, laugh, dance, kiss and cuddle and mine is to capture all the real, heartfelt moments you share.
After your session you will receive your gallery and you will then have a beautiful collection of beautiful memories of all the things you want to remember forever - the curls, the cuddles, the chaos, the fun and love!
What does a family session look like?
You are growing a whole person — Go you! You are powerful and absolutely incredible. For months now you have been dreaming about how their little face will look, about holding them in your arms. This session is all about empowering you and really celebrating how amazing mothers are. I will be there to guide you, pose you and make you feel like the amazing mother that you already are!
Partners and family are welcome. Each session is going to look different and creating images that resonate with you is top priority.

Those precious moments of those first few weeks. The time can feel like a rollercoaster of emotions whilst adjusting to life with a newborn. Through your bleary sleep deprived eyes you still know it’s something you will want to look back on and remember - their tiny features, their squishy cheeks, how perfectly they fit in your arms and on your chest!
This moment is fleeting, you will blink and they have grown out of all their squish and that newborn smell will be gone..oh that baby smell is divine!
Our time together will be in your home, because I know how hard it is in those early days to get out the door. I will arrive and help you get ready. I will keep baby and you calm and you will soak in your new addition and I will be there to capture it all

What can we expect during a session with you?
I’m a lifestyle photographer, I love ‘in the moment’ authentic connection. So you can expect to play, have fun, cuddle and love on each other. There won’t be set poses or any awkward smiles. I like to use prompts instead to get natural reactions to capture your family’s true connection.

Unsure how the kids will go?
No problem at all. I get it, I have three of my own and I know the worry that you have hoping your kids will be happy!
Your kids can’t do anything wrong during the shoot. I love to capture the inbetween moments. So if your child hurts themselves, trips over or are a little upset I want you to come down to their level and comfort them and love on them just like you normally would do. These are the sweet and real moments that I love to capture. It’s not just all about the smiles. I love to capture you being a mother and mothering.
How SHOULD I PREPARE TO make the session run smooth?
A couple things that we can control that could help our session run a little smoother:
Try to make sure your kids are well rested, toileted and have full bellies. We all know what we are like when we are tired and hungry! Bring snacks and drinks with you, there will be plenty of time for snack breaks!
Make sure your kids have appropriate layers of clothing, especially during winter, we want your children to be warm in winter and cool in summer. This plays a huge role in kids being comfortable.
